SPT News, Kolkata, July 3: Thailand has started to enter the world of tourism again. In the meantime, they have taken several plans in “Amazing Thailand – New Chapter 2022”. People have again chosen Thailand as the nearest destination. However, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has always been active in maintaining this momentum. To maintain that activism, officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thai Smile held an important meeting with the chairman of TAFI in Kolkata yesterday.

The meeting was attended by two marketing officers of TAT, Aso Lori, Vaishali Sharma, Marketing officer (TAT), Sajid Ahmad Khan,Regional Head (East) of Thai Smile, Anil Punjabi, Chairman of Travel Agents Federation of India or TAFI. Also present was Prominent journalist Jun Mukherjee is the founding editor of Asian Footprints. This important meeting took place in the middle of lunch at a luxury hotel in Kolkata.
These important issues came up in the meeting
Anil Punjabi, chairman of Taffy, who was present at the meeting, told SPT: There are important meetings. After the Corona pandemic, this time Thailand tourism has become straightforward. Therefore, there has been a discussion on how to make tourism more popular and bring more publicity. In particular, discussions have been held on how to make golf tourism in Thailand more accessible to the people, and how to expand the tourism trade with this tourism in mind.
Withdrawal of previously announced restrictions
Already, the Thai government has lifted the previously announced restrictions on tourists. From now on, tourists will no longer have to insurence large sums of money to enter Thailand. Vaccinated travelers will then be allowed entry and will be able to go anywhere in the state. To arrive by land using a border pass, they will only be allowed to stay within a specified area for more than 3 days. Will be allowed and they will be able to go anywhere in the state.
Emphasis on the expansion of tourism in golf tourism
In addition to all this, this time TAT has started thinking about expanding tourism anew. That is why they have chosen golf tourism. Because in 2015, Thailand’s position as the main golf destination in Asia has been underlined in Thailand Golf Travel Mart. As such, the Tourism Authority of Thailand [TAT] is designed to attract more golfers to Thailand and increase the country’s growing popularity as a truly world-class golf gateway.
Most notably, Pattaya and Hua Hin were voted the best golf destinations of the year for Asia and Australia by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators [IAGTO] in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
