How to strengthen the state’s tourism system, how to increase tourist safety, how to bring more tourist destinations in the spotlight, how to resume international flights from Kolkata – all these issues came up in the discussion. An association of ten travel agents was present at the discussion. Notable among which is Travel Agents Federation of India or TAFI.
Initiative to launch direct flights to Europe from Kolkata
Anil Punjabi, chairman of TAFI (Eastern), said the state government has taken several initiatives to promote tourism. Which includes – direct flight service from Kolkata to Europe. A list of multiple airlines has been compiled for this purpose. Where they have been offered. It has been said that you should start direct flights from Kolkata to Europe like Delhi or Mumbai. Already Air India, Vistara, Indigo have been told. The state government has said that once the airline is launched, there will be no passenger problems. This time passengers will catch direct flights to Europe from Kolkata. They no longer have to go to Delhi or Mumbai. The state government has given such an assurance.
Bankura has already had a tourist police camp
However, the state is going to take special measures for the protection of tourists. For this, tourist police stations will be set up in multiple tourist centers. However, such a tourist police camp has already been opened in Bankura district a few months ago. It was inaugurated at that time. It can be said that keeping in mind the words of the police camp, the process of opening tourist police stations in the tourist centers of the entire state has started.
State initiative
The state has taken initiative to introduce tourism to more people. The best tourist destination is West Bengal. West Bengal will become number one in the world of tourism. The best of the best. They are determined to bring people from the state of Vienna safely to their destination.
