SPT News, Kolkata, July 12: One Rep Global has unveiled Ras Al Khaimah as a new tourist destination for Kolkatans, who are working as representatives of the tourism board of this tourist center in the Middle East. Hemant Mediratta, founder of the organization, is very excited to stand on the stage of the Travel Agents Federation of India or TAFI to hold this event. He thanked TAFI for this and said that they will encourage us, they will support the trade here more. India is going to be among the top three countries in the tourism market in the future, it is a great thing for all of us. We expect Ras Al Khaimah to become the top destination in the future with the increasing number of Indians traveling to the Middle East.

At the beginning of the road-show, Hemant Mediratta said – Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai are like Delhi and Gurgaon. However, the distance between Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai is only 45 minutes. It takes one and a half hours to travel from Delhi to Gurgaon. One thing I find very strange is that 5 to 6 million Indians go to Dubai. But only 50 thousand people go to Ras Al Khaimah spending only 45 minutes. In the next decade, India is going to be among the top three countries in the travel market in the world
“I traveled abroad for 100-120 days. I recently went to IITM in Singapore. Going there I noticed that in the next decade India is going to be among the top three countries in the travel market in the world. So the travel business is growing tremendously. In what appears to be an explosion of travel to India, international companies that are based abroad are now entering India. They are thinking about how they can get Indian consumers. India is a great place for this period in the history of the tourism business and what we have seen in the last 50 years is nothing like the travel industry in 10 years.”
5 crore people are traveling outside India
If you look at the Middle East, their main business now is tourism. This is a very good indication. Nearest market is India. Nearest biggest market. Where 140 million people live. Only 7.6 percent have passports. It is now going to touch 10 crores. This number is going to double in 2024. 5 crore people are traveling outside India.
This is my third visit to Kolkata. I love Kolkata. I was the Director of Marketing at Hyatt. I was also on Antara Cruise for a few days. I think Kolkata market is globally free. Finally here is the business.

“The camp in Ras Al Khaimah is very good. It is 20-30 percent cheaper than Dubai. IndiGo has direct flights. You have to go to Hyderabad and then ras al khaimah. So you have to book Kolkata-Bombay or Kolkata-Hyderabad tickets. From there you have to go to Ras Al Khaimah. Landed there around 10:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Hotel rates in Ras Al Khaimah are 40 percent lower than in Dubai. You can do desert activities. Next day you can do mountain activities. You will find many hotels near the beach.” Hemant said.
2.8 km will be covered in two minutes
“Desert Camp will give you a great experience. Where is Sonara Camp. You will fly through the sky with jet lines. The 2.8 km distance will be reached in just two minutes. Its speed is 140 km/h. There are vehicles like roller coasters. Desert Capom, Camel Ride and Water Sports also have Arabian Pearls Drive. It is very rare. There are also cultural events.”
