SPT News, Kolkata, January 21: Efforts have been made at all levels to take the travel and tourism industry forward. As part of that, the Global Panorama Showcase or GPS event was held on January 19 and 20,2023 in Kolkata. In addition to many organizations related to the travel and tourism industry, travel agents and tour operators also participated. On the first day, various organizations gave presentations about their products. On the second day, B-to-B ie business to business events were organized. The main objective of GPS is to connect suppliers from all over the world and agents and buyers in tier II and tier III Indian cities. Through its events, GPS aims to extend its reach to tourism professionals across all states and UTs of India. On the first day of the event, executives from TAFI, TAAI and ETAA presented their message on the effectiveness of GPS in the travel and tourism industry.
Mr. Harmandeep Singh Anand said about GPS
Mr. Harmandeep Singh Anand, Managing Director of the organization, stood on the stage of the program and expressed his opinion about GPS. He said – “Human interaction is the most important. GPS is the basic format. Hundreds of high-grade formats at the same time. All of you have downloaded GPS app before. Now we have GPS app, more will be added in next 15 days. TAFI’s Mr. Anil Punjabi gave his opinion
Chairman of Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) (East India) Mr. Anil Punjabi addressed the Managing Director of GPS Mr. Haramdeep Singh Anand who was present and said – It is very nice to see Kolkata for the first time. We are very happy to start the GPS event from Kolkata for the first time this year. We as travel agents promise to assist you in every possible way. “At the same time, he added about the January 20 B to B meeting. Said – “I think very informative people should attend this session. It will improve our business and if you look at the recent times, I would tell people we have seen what has happened in the last two years. At the same time, if you look at the last six months, you will notice how people have prepared themselves for travel. This is like a revenge torism. TAAI’s Mr. Manav Soni gave his response
Travel Agents Association of India or TAAI Chairman (Eastern India) Mr. Manav Soni highlighted the relevance in his brief speech on GPS. Said – Any success is complete of three qualities – one is skill, second is hard work and third is knowledge. GPS arrived at that location today.
ETAA’s Mr. Kaushik Banerjee
Finally, the Chairman (Eastern Region) of Enterprise Travel Agents Association (ETAA) Mr. Kaushik Banerje appreciated the entrepreneurs for organizing the GPS event in Kolkata.

On the second day, GPS organized the B to B meeting. There were also representatives from Britain, Eastern Europe and South Africa along with several organizations related to travel and tourism sector. Various travel agents and tour operators deal with them.
