Attendance at IITM in Mumbai by Goa Tourism, received great response

SPT News: Recently in the month of October Goa Tourism participated in IITM Mumbai from 12 to 14 October 2023 at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai. The exhibition was inaugurated by Jitendra Kejriwal, Chairman, IATO Maharashtra and Dadra, Nagar Haveli and Daman Chapters in the presence of other dignitaries.

Kamala Bai – Karnataka Tourism, Rajesh Poddar – TAAI, Burjis Mehta – SKAL International, Tariq Hussain Naik – Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, Dharmendra Singh – ADTOI, Laxmikant Bhaigankar – Goa Tourism and other tourism industry veterans were present.

More than 150 exhibitors representing various travel-trade organizations and tourism boards will be present. With participants from 20 Indian states and over 10 foreign countries, the event showcases the potential of travel and tourism.

Rohit Hangal, Director, Sphere Travel Media asserted, “With the ongoing recovery of tourism and slowdown in international arrivals to India, ‘India International Travel Mart’ is the ideal event to give momentum to the Indian domestic tourism industry. Tourism stakeholders from different states are actively marketing their products, creating a suitable platform for those looking for different genres of packages.”

Sanjay Hakhu, Director, Sphere Travel Media added, “We are one of the most attractive and productive countries for the travel industry, catering to both leisure and business travel. The event is expected to host more than ten thousand visitors, with travel agencies offering enticing packages to holiday hotspots around the world.”

By Train: Goa has two main railway lines – Vasco da Gama and Madgaon. There are also two Konkan Railway stations – Karmali and Thivim. If you are going to Panjim, Karmali is the nearest station and Thivim is the station to Mapusa or Calangute. There are direct trains to Goa from most major cities in India.

By Road: Panaji, the capital of Goa, is well-connected by road to all major cities in India. Kadamba Bus Stand in Panaji is the main bus station within Goa. There are regular to and fro bus services operated by Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka State Transport Services.
