এসপিটি নিউজ, কলকাতা: স্বাধীনতা দিবসের আবহে দেশপ্রেমের বার্তা ছড়িয়ে দিতে কলকাতায় শুরু হল ‘হর ঘর তিরঙ্গা’ কর্মসূচি। সোমবার গোষ্ঠ পাল সরণী থেকে জাতীয় পতাকা হাতে বর্ণাঢ্য তিরঙ্গা যাত্রার সূচনা হয়। প্রায় আড়াই কিলোমিটার পথ অতিক্রম করে ভিক্টোরিয়া মেমোরিয়ালের কাছে গিয়ে শেষ হয় এই পদযাত্রা।
জাতীয় পতাকা হাতে ছাত্রছাত্রী থেকে শুরু করে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রের প্রতিনিধিরা এদিনের যাত্রায় অংশ নেন। ‘ভারত মাতা কি জয়’ ও দেশাত্মবোধক স্লোগানে মুখর হয়ে ওঠে কলকাতার রাজপথ। ‘বন্দে মাতরম্’ সঙ্গীত পরিবেশনের মধ্য দিয়ে শুরু হয় মূল কর্মসূচি।
যাত্রার সূচনা করেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী। বক্তব্যে তিনি বলেন, দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে গত কয়েক বছর ধরে ‘হর ঘর তিরঙ্গা’ কর্মসূচি পালিত হলেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গে আগের সরকার এই কর্মসূচি পালন করেনি। তাঁর দাবি, বিজেপি সরকার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর রাজ্যে প্রথমবারের মতো এই কর্মসূচি বৃহৎ পরিসরে শুরু করা হয়েছে।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানান, রাজ্যজুড়ে প্রায় ৭০ লক্ষ মানুষের হাতে জাতীয় পতাকা পৌঁছে দেওয়ার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে। তাঁর আবেদন, স্বাধীনতা দিবস উপলক্ষে প্রতিটি বাড়িতে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হোক।
তিনি বলেন, দেশের প্রতি ভালোবাসা এবং জাতীয় মূল্যবোধ সম্পর্কে নতুন প্রজন্মকে সচেতন করা জরুরি। জাতীয় পতাকার প্রতি সম্মান দেখানোর মধ্য দিয়েই দেশের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা ও দায়িত্ববোধ আরও দৃঢ় করা সম্ভব। তাই প্রত্যেক নাগরিককে ‘হর ঘর তিরঙ্গা’ কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে নিজের বাড়িতে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলনের আহ্বান জানান তিনি।
এদিন রাখিবন্ধন উৎসব নিয়েও রাজ্যবাসীর কাছে আবেদন রাখেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের উদ্যোগে এবারের রাখিবন্ধনকে মানুষের মধ্যে ঐক্য, সম্প্রীতি ও পারস্পরিক বন্ধনের উৎসব হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার আহ্বান জানান তিনি।
পাশাপাশি আগামী ১৫ আগস্ট স্বাধীনতা দিবসে রেড রোডে রাজ্যের তথ্য ও সংস্কৃতি দফতরের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে সাধারণ মানুষকে অংশ নেওয়ার আহ্বান জানান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। স্বাধীনতার ৮০ বছর পূর্তির আবহে রাজ্যের মানুষকে স্বাধীনতা দিবসের অনুষ্ঠানে সামিল হওয়ার বার্তাও দেন তিনি।
পর্যটন শিল্পের প্রতিনিধিদেরও উল্লেখযোগ্য উপস্থিতি
এদিনের ‘হর ঘর তিরঙ্গা’ যাত্রায় ছাত্রছাত্রীদের পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন পেশা ও ক্ষেত্রের প্রতিনিধিরাও অংশ নেন। তাঁদের মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য ছিল পর্যটন শিল্পের প্রতিনিধিত্বকারী সংগঠন Association of Tourism Service Providers of Bengal (ATSPB)।
ATSPB-এর প্রায় ৪০ জন সদস্য-সদস্যার উপস্থিতি এদিনের কর্মসূচিতে বিশেষভাবে নজর কাড়ে। হাতে জাতীয় পতাকা নিয়ে তাঁরা তিরঙ্গা যাত্রায় অংশ নেন এবং দেশাত্মবোধের বার্তা ছড়িয়ে দেন।
কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নিয়ে ATSPB-এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক স্বরূপ ভট্টাচার্য বলেন, ‘হর ঘর তিরঙ্গা’ যাত্রায় অংশ নেওয়া তাঁদের কাছে অত্যন্ত গর্ব ও আনন্দের বিষয়। স্বাধীনতার ৮০তম বছরে এই ধরনের কর্মসূচি মানুষের মধ্যে দেশমাতৃকার প্রতি ভালোবাসা ও দেশপ্রেমকে নতুন করে জাগিয়ে তুলবে বলে তিনি আশাবাদী।
স্বরূপ ভট্টাচার্যের বক্তব্য, জাতীয় পতাকার মর্যাদা এবং দেশের প্রতি দায়িত্ববোধ সম্পর্কে মানুষের মধ্যে সচেতনতা তৈরি করা অত্যন্ত প্রয়োজন। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের উদ্যোগে এই কর্মসূচি সাধারণ মানুষ এবং বিশেষ করে তরুণ প্রজন্মকে জাতীয় মূল্যবোধ ও দেশপ্রেমের বিষয়ে আরও উদ্বুদ্ধ করবে বলেও তিনি মনে করেন।
রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে ৯ থেকে ১৭ আগস্ট পর্যন্ত বিভিন্ন জায়গায় তিরঙ্গা যাত্রা, প্রভাতফেরি, সাইকেল র্যালি, সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান, কুইজ, প্রবন্ধ ও চিত্রাঙ্কন প্রতিযোগিতার মতো একাধিক কর্মসূচি নেওয়া হয়েছে। স্বাধীনতা দিবসকে সামনে রেখে জাতীয় পতাকাকে ঘিরে মানুষের মধ্যে আবেগ, দেশপ্রেম ও জাতীয় ঐক্যের বার্তা পৌঁছে দেওয়াই এই কর্মসূচির মূল লক্ষ্য।
কলকাতার রাজপথে এদিনের তিরঙ্গা যাত্রা সেই বার্তাকেই আরও দৃঢ় করল—ঘরে ঘরে তিরঙ্গা, হৃদয়ে দেশপ্রেম।

Ahead of India’s Independence Day

SPT NEWS, KOLKATA— Kolkata witnessed a flag march on Monday as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of India’s Independence Day, with hundreds of participants carrying the national flag along a route stretching about 2.5 kilometres from Ghosh Pal Sarani to the area near the Victoria Memorial.
The march began with a rendition of Vande Mataram and brought together students, representatives from different sectors and members of the tourism industry. Participants walked with the Tricolour while raising patriotic slogans.
West Bengal Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari, who inaugurated the march, urged residents to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the campaign.
He said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative had been observed across India in recent years but had not previously been implemented in West Bengal on such a scale. The state government, he said, planned to distribute around 7 million national flags to people across the state.
The chief minister appealed to citizens to display the Tricolour at their homes and said respect for the national flag was closely linked to developing a sense of patriotism and awareness of the country’s values, particularly among younger generations.
The state government has also announced a series of activities around the Independence Day celebrations, including flag marches, cultural programmes and other public events.
Adhikari also appealed to residents to participate in the Aug. 15 Independence Day programme at Kolkata’s Red Road, organised by the state Information and Cultural Affairs Department.
He also urged people to take part in the state government’s Raksha Bandhan celebrations, describing the festival as an opportunity to strengthen social bonds and unity among people.
Tourism industry joins march
Representatives of the tourism sector were among those participating in Monday’s event. Around 40 members of the Association of Tourism Service Providers of Bengal (ATSPB) joined the march carrying the national flag.
ATSPB General Secretary Swarup Bhattacharya said participating in the campaign was a matter of pride and joy for the organisation.
“Such a programme can help renew the feeling of patriotism and love for the country among people,” Bhattacharya said, adding that greater public awareness about the national flag and national values was important.
He said the organisation welcomed the state government’s initiative and hoped the campaign would encourage people, particularly younger citizens, to develop a stronger sense of respect for the country and its national symbols.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is being held in the run-up to Independence Day, when India commemorates its independence from British rule on Aug. 15.
The Kolkata march ended near the Victoria Memorial, with participants continuing to hold the Tricolour as the city prepared for the country’s 80th Independence Day celebrations.
