এসপিটি নিউজ, কলকাতা ও পাটনা, ১০ আগস্ট : ভারতীয় পর্যটনের প্রচারে এবিটিও বরাবর অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করে চলেছে। অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের মহাসচিব ড. কৌলেশ কুমার ভারতীয় পর্যটনকে বিশ্বের প্রতিটি প্রান্তে পৌছে দিতে সমস্ত রকমের প্রয়াস চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন। এই কাজে তিনি সঙ্গে পেয়েছেন একাধিক বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিকে। এমনই একজন হলেন থাইল্যান্ডের রাজধানী ব্যাংককে অবস্থিত ভারতীয় দূতাবাসের প্রাক্তন প্রথম সচিব কনস্যুলার অশোক কে. ওয়াংদি। এবিটিও তাকে ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট পদে পেয়ে রীতিমতো উচ্ছ্বসিত। গর্বিত মহাচসচিব কৌলেশ কুমার স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন ভারতের প্রাক্তন এই আমলাকে।
এবিটিও-র মহাচসচিব কৌলেশ কুমার এক বার্তায় বলেন- “ আমরা আনন্দের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে থাইল্যান্ডের ব্যাংককে অবস্থিত ভারতীয় দূতাবাসের প্রাক্তন প্রথম সচিব কনস্যুলার অত্যন্ত সম্মানিত মিঃ অশোক কে. ওয়াংদি স্যার ABTO-এর সিনিয়র ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট (আন্তর্জাতিক সহযোগিতা) হিসেবে ৯ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৬ পর্যন্ত দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন। তাকে স্বাগত জানাই।“
“শ্রদ্ধেয় ওয়াংদি স্যার ABTO-এর একজন প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী সহায়তা করার জন্য সর্বদা প্রস্তুত। ওয়াংদি স্যার এবং IBC-এর নির্দেশনায়, ABTO-এর সাথে, ১৮টি সমিতি ২০১৬ সালে নয়াদিল্লিতে বুদ্ধ পূর্ণিমার আয়োজন করেছিল এবং ভারতের মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী সেই অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন।“ যোগ করেন কৌলেশ কুমার।
এবিটিও-র মহাসচিব বলেন- “শ্রদ্ধেয় ওয়াংদি স্যার থাইল্যান্ডের ABTO PATTAYA অফিসে বহুবার পরিদর্শন করেছিলেন এবং সদস্যদের উৎসাহিত করেছিলেন। ওয়াংদি স্যার এশিয়া এবং বিশ্বজুড়ে পর্যটন প্রচারের সাথে সম্পর্কিত সমস্ত পর্যটন অংশীদারদের সাহায্য এবং সমর্থন করবেন।“
Secretary General Kaulesh Kumar welcomes former Indian bureaucrat Wangdi as Senior Vice President of ABTO

SPT News, Kolkata and Patna, 10 August : ABTO has always played a leading role in promoting Indian tourism. The Secretary General of the association, Dr. Kaulesh Kumar, is making every effort to take Indian tourism to every corner of the world. In this work, he has been accompanied by several eminent people. One such person is Consular Ashok K. Wangdi, former First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. ABTO is very happy to have him as Vice President. Proud Secretary General Kaulesh Kumar welcomed this former Indian bureaucrat.
ABTO Secretary General Kaulesh Kumar said in a message- “We are happy to announce that the very respected Mr. Ashok K. Wangdi Sir, former First Secretary Consular, Embassy of India, Bangkok, Thailand, will serve as the Senior Vice President (International Cooperation) of ABTO till 9th December 2026. We welcome him.”
“Honorable Wangdi Sir is a founding member of ABTO and is always ready to help globally. Under the guidance of Wangdi Sir and IBC, along with ABTO, 18 associations organized Buddha Purnima in New Delhi in 2016 and the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India was the Chief Guest on that occasion.” added Kaulesh Kumar.
ABTO Secretary General said- “Honorable Wangdi Sir visited ABTO PATTAYA office in Thailand many times and encouraged the members. Wangdi Sir will help and support all tourism stakeholders related to tourism promotion in Asia and around the world.”
