এসপিটি নিউজ, কলকাতা, ২ ডিসেম্বর : খেলার শহর সংস্কৃতির শহর কলকাতা। শীতের মরশুমে এই শহর হয়ে ওঠে আরও প্রাণবন্ত। আরও উজ্জ্বীবিত। এবার সেই কলকাতায় সিন্ধি পাঞ্জাবি পঞ্চায়েত তাদের ক্রিকেট অনুশীলন শুরু করে দিল। গত রবিবার থেকে ময়দানে শুরু হয়েছে তাদের অনুশীলন।
সিন্ধি পাঞ্জাবি পঞ্চায়েতের কলকাতার সভাপতি অনিল পাঞ্জাবির নেতৃত্বে এই অনুশীলন শুরু হয়। ক্রিকেটপ্রেমী অনিল জানান, খেলার শহর কলকাতা এখন মেতেছে ক্রিকেটে। সিন্ধি পাঞ্জাবি পঞ্চায়েতেও অনেক প্রতিভাবান ক্রিকেট খেলোয়াড় আছে। আমরা যাই তারাও নজরে আসুক। সেই লক্ষ্য নিয়েই আমাদের এই প্রয়াস। শীতের মরশুমে এবার আমাদের অনুশীলন শুরু ক্রলাম রবিবার থেকে। প্রথম দিনে অনেকেই আসতে পারেনি। আশা করব, এরপরের অনুশীলনে তাদের উপস্থিতি আরও বাড়বে।
কলকাতায় একাধিক ক্রিকেট টুর্নামেন্ট হয়। আমরা চাই সেই টুর্নামেনেটে অংশ নিতে। টুর্নামেন্টে জেতাটা বড় বিষয় নয়, অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে খেলোয়াড়সুলভ মানসিকতার প্রসারই আসল কথা। জানান অনিল পাঞ্জাবি।
