এসপিটি নিউজ, কলকাতা, ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর : একটা সময় ছিল যখন উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারতের রাজ্যগুলিতে বিশেষ করে মিজোরাম, নাগাল্যান্ড, মণিপুর, অরুণাচল, মেঘালয়ে ভ্রমণ করাই ছিল রীতিমতো কঠিন। কলকাতা শুধু নয় দেশের যে কোনও প্রান্ত থেকেই এই রাজ্যগুলিতে যেতে হলে গুটি কয়েক উড়ান ছিল ভরসা। স্বাধীনতার ৭৮ বছর পর পরিস্থিতি বদলাল। এবার ভারতের রেল নেটওয়ার্কের সাথে যুক্ত হল মিজোরামের রাজধানী আইজল। সেখানকার সাইরাং-বাইরাবী রেলপথের সূচনার সাথে সাথে দেশের সাথে রেলসংযোগ হয়ে গেল উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারতের। অভূতপূর্ব এই যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার উন্নতির জন্য দেশের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রের মানুষ তাদের প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়েছে। সংবাদ প্রভাকর টাইমস এবার বিষয়টি নিয়ে কথা বলেছে ট্রাভেল এজেন্টস ফেডারেশন অব ইন্ডিয়া বা টাফি’র ন্যাশনাল কমিটির মেম্বার অনিল পাঞ্জাবির সাথে। পর্যটনের যে প্রসার ও ব্যাপ্তি ঘটবে তা নিয়ে নিশ্চিত এই পর্যটন ব্যবসায়ী।
একান্ত সাক্ষাৎকারে অনিল পাঞ্জাবি বলেন- “এটা স্থানীয় মানুষ স্বপ্নেও ভাবতে পারেনি যে এমন একটা সুন্দর যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা গড়ে উঠবে। এটা তারা ভাবতেই পারেনি যে পাহাড়ের উপর দিয়ে সুড়ঙ্গের ভিতর দিয়ে সেতুর উপর দিয়ে ট্রেন ছুটবে। এতদিন শুধুমাত্র গুয়াহাটি পর্যন্ত ট্রেন চলত। আর এখন সুদূর মিজোরামে ট্রেন পৌঁছে যাচ্ছে। অভূতপূর্ব। এটা ভাবাই যায়নি। কলকাতার সাথে আরও উন্নত হল যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা। এটা সত্যিই আনন্দের খবর। আর এটা এমন একটা সময় হল যখন পুজোর মরশুম শুরু হয়ে গিয়েছে। আর এই যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার উন্নতি হওয়ায় অর্থনীতিও কিন্তু বাড়বে।ওখান থেকে বহু মানুষ কলকাতায় আসেন। কাজ করেন। এখান থেকে তারা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ট্রাভেল করেন। এটা একটা আশীর্ব্বাদ। একটা আশীর্ব্বাদ পাওয়া গিয়েছে। ভারত সরকার একটা প্ল্যানিং করে এই কাজ করেছে। আমরা কৃতজ্ঞ যে এটা এমন একটা সময় হল যখন ভারত দ্রুত বর্ধনশীল অর্থনীতির দেশ হিসাবে নিজেকে বিশ্বে তুলে ধরছে। যখন আমরা বিশ্বে তৃতীয় অর্থনীতির দেশ। এজন্য ধন্যবাদ, বিশেষ করে পর্যটনের জন্য। এর ফলে পর্যটনের অনেক ব্যপ্তি ঘটবে নিঃসন্দেহে তা বলা যেতেই পারে।“
এখানে সাইরাং-বাইরাবী রেলপথ তৈড়ি হয়েছে সম্পূর্ণ ভারতীয় প্রযুক্তিতে। এখানে যারা কাজ করেছেন স্কলেই ভারতীয়। ভারতীয় ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের দক্ষতায় এই রেলপথ গড়ে উঠেছে। এই উদ্যোগকে স্বাগত জানিয়ে টাফি’র ন্যাশনাল কমিটির মেম্বার পাঞ্জাবি বলেন- “মেড-ইন-ইন্ডিয়া, আত্মনির্ভর ভারত যে কত শক্তিশালী তা এর দ্বারা প্রমাণিত হয়ে গেল। আগে এখানে বাইরে থেকে লোক এসে কাজ করে চলে যেত। এখন দেশের মানুষজনই সেই কাজ করে চলেছে। আজ এর ফলে দেশের ভিতরে কর্মসংস্থান হয়েছে। দেশের যুবকরা আজ উচ্চশিক্ষিত হয়ে এই ধরনের কাজ করছেন। এটা আমাদের কাছে সত্যি এক গর্বের দিন। এখানে থেকে ভারতের চাহিদা বিশ্বেও ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে। ভারতের বাজার ধরার জন্য বিশ্বের প্রায় প্রতিটি দেশ আজ ভারতে চলে আসছে। সরকার এটা একটা দারুন কাজ করেছে।“
সাইরাং-কলকাতা রেল পরিষেবা চালু হয়েছে গত ১৬ সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে। এটা একটা বড় প্রাপ্তি। আগে সবাই বিমানের টিকিট পেত না। সকলের সামর্থ্যও ছিল না বিমানের টিকিট কাটার। এখন সবাই কলকাতা থেকে ট্রেনে চেপেই চলে যেতে পারবেন উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারতের রাজ্যগুলিতে। এটা একটা অভূতপূর্ব প্রাপ্তি।

Rail connectivity with Mizoram is a big boon for tourism, says TAFI’s Anil Punjabi
SPT News, Kolkata, September 19: There was a time when travelling to the states of North-East India, especially Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal, Meghalaya, was quite difficult. Not only Kolkata but also from any part of the country, only a few flights were available to travel to these states. After 78 years of independence, the situation has changed. Now, Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, has been connected to the Indian railway network. With the inauguration of the Sairang-Bairabi railway line there, North-East India has become connected to the country by rail. People from different walks of life have expressed their reactions to this unprecedented improvement in the communication system. Sangbad Prabhakar Times spoke to Anil Punjabi, a member of the National Committee of the Travel Agents Federation of India or TAFI, on the matter. This Travel & tourism businessman is sure about the expansion and expansion of tourism.
In an exclusive interview, Anil Punjabi said, “The local people could not even dream that such a beautiful communication system would be developed. They could not even imagine that trains would run over the mountains through tunnels and bridges. Till now, trains used to run only up to Guwahati. And now trains are reaching faraway Mizoram. This is unprecedented. It was unimaginable. The communication system with Kolkata has improved. This is really good news. And this is a time when the Puja season has started. And with the improvement of this communication system, the economy will also grow. Many people from there come to Kolkata. They work. They travel internationally from here. This is a blessing. A blessing has been received. The Indian government has done this by planning. We are grateful that this is a time when India is presenting itself to the world as a fast-growing economy. When we are the third largest economy in the world. Thank you for this, especially for tourism. This will undoubtedly lead to a lot of tourism. “That can be said.”
The Sairang-Bairabi railway line here has been built entirely with Indian technology. All those who have worked here are Indians by school. This railway line has been built with the expertise of Indian engineers. Welcoming this initiative, Punjabi, member of the National Committee of TAFI, said, “This has proven how strong Made-in-India, Atmanirbhar Bharat is. Earlier, people from outside used to come and work here. Now the people of the country are doing that work. Today, as a result, employment has been created within the country. The youth of the country are now highly educated and doing this kind of work. This is a truly proud day for us. From here, India’s demand is spreading to the world. Almost every country in the world is coming to India to capture the Indian market. The government has done a great job.”
The Sairang-Kolkata railway service was launched on September 16. This is a big achievement. Earlier, not everyone could get air tickets. Not everyone could afford to buy air tickets. Now everyone can travel to the states of North-East India by train from Kolkata. This is a remarkable achievement.
