এসপিটি নিউজ ডেস্ক: ভারত ও থাইল্যান্ডের মধ্যে বিমান যোগাযোগ আরও শক্তিশালী করতে আগামী ১৫ অক্টোবর থেকে হায়দরাবাদ (HYD) ও ব্যাংককের ডন মুয়াং আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর (DMK)-এর মধ্যে সরাসরি আন্তর্জাতিক উড়ান চালু করতে চলেছে থাইল্যান্ডের অন্যতম স্বল্পমূল্যের বিমান সংস্থা নক এয়ার (Nok Air)। ইতোমধ্যেই এই রুটে টিকিট বুকিং শুরু হয়েছে বলে সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে।
নতুন এই পরিষেবা চালুর ফলে দক্ষিণ ভারতের অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মহানগর হায়দরাবাদ থেকে থাইল্যান্ডে যাতায়াত আরও সহজ ও সাশ্রয়ী হবে। পর্যটন, ব্যবসা, চিকিৎসা এবং শিক্ষা-সংক্রান্ত ভ্রমণকারীদের কাছে এই রুট বিশেষ সুবিধা এনে দেবে বলে মনে করছেন পর্যটন শিল্পের প্রতিনিধিরা।
সংস্থার প্রকাশিত সময়সূচি অনুযায়ী, DD959 নম্বরের ফ্লাইটটি প্রতি সোমবার, বুধবার, বৃহস্পতিবার ও শনিবার রাত ১২:৪৫ মিনিটে হায়দরাবাদ থেকে ছেড়ে স্থানীয় সময় ভোর ৫:৫৫ মিনিটে ব্যাংককের ডন মুয়াং আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে পৌঁছাবে। অন্যদিকে DD958 নম্বরের ফ্লাইটটি প্রতি মঙ্গলবার, বুধবার, শুক্রবার ও রবিবার রাত ৯:৪৫ মিনিটে ব্যাংকক থেকে ছেড়ে রাত ১১:৪৫ মিনিটে হায়দরাবাদে পৌঁছাবে।
থাইল্যান্ডের জনপ্রিয় লো–কস্ট এয়ারলাইন
নক এয়ার থাইল্যান্ডের অন্যতম পরিচিত লো-কস্ট ক্যারিয়ার (Low-Cost Carrier)। ২০০৪ সালে যাত্রা শুরু করা এই বিমান সংস্থার প্রধান কার্যালয় ব্যাংককে এবং এর মূল হাব ডন মুয়াং আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর। এয়ারলাইনটির IATA কোড DD এবং ICAO কোড NOK।
থাই ভাষায় “নক (Nok)” শব্দের অর্থ “পাখি”। সেই ভাবনা থেকেই সংস্থার বিমানগুলোর সামনের অংশে পাখির ঠোঁটের নকশা এবং উজ্জ্বল হলুদ রঙের বিশেষ লিভারি ব্যবহার করা হয়, যা নক এয়ারকে বিশ্বজুড়ে আলাদা পরিচিতি দিয়েছে।
নক এয়ার মূলত কম খরচে নির্ভরযোগ্য বিমান পরিষেবা দেওয়ার জন্য পরিচিত। বর্তমানে সংস্থাটি প্রধানত Boeing 737-800 উড়োজাহাজ পরিচালনা করে এবং থাইল্যান্ডের অভ্যন্তরীণ রুটের পাশাপাশি নির্বাচিত আন্তর্জাতিক গন্তব্যেও পরিষেবা দিচ্ছে।
ভারতীয় বাজারে নজর
ভারত থেকে থাইল্যান্ডগামী পর্যটকের সংখ্যা ধারাবাহিকভাবে বাড়তে থাকায় নক এয়ার ভারতীয় বাজারে নিজেদের উপস্থিতি আরও শক্তিশালী করার কৌশল নিয়েছে। হায়দরাবাদ-ব্যাংকক সরাসরি উড়ান চালুর মাধ্যমে দক্ষিণ ভারতের যাত্রীদের জন্য নতুন বিকল্প তৈরি হলো। এর ফলে থাইল্যান্ডের পর্যটন শিল্প যেমন লাভবান হবে, তেমনি ভারত-থাইল্যান্ডের বাণিজ্যিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক যোগাযোগও আরও জোরদার হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।
পর্যটন শিল্পের বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, থাইল্যান্ড ভারতীয় পর্যটকদের অন্যতম প্রিয় বিদেশ ভ্রমণ গন্তব্য। নতুন এই সরাসরি বিমান পরিষেবা চালু হওয়ায় ভ্রমণের সময় কমবে, সংযোগ আরও সহজ হবে এবং প্রতিযোগিতামূলক ভাড়ার কারণে যাত্রীদের জন্য নতুন সুযোগ তৈরি হবে।
নক এয়ারের এই উদ্যোগ শুধু একটি নতুন আন্তর্জাতিক রুট সংযোজন নয়, বরং ভারত ও থাইল্যান্ডের মধ্যে আকাশপথে যোগাযোগ সম্প্রসারণের ক্ষেত্রেও একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হচ্ছে। বিশেষ করে দক্ষিণ ভারতের পর্যটক, ব্যবসায়ী এবং অবকাশযাপনকারী ভ্রমণকারীদের জন্য এই পরিষেবা দুই দেশের মধ্যে যাতায়াতকে আরও গতিশীল করে তুলবে।

Nok Air to Launch Direct Hyderabad–Bangkok Flights from Oct. 15, Expanding India Network
SPT News Desk: Thai low-cost carrier Nok Air will launch direct flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) from Oct. 15, marking another step in the airline’s expansion into the growing Indian market.
The airline has opened bookings for the new international route, which is expected to improve air connectivity between southern India and Thailand while supporting tourism, business travel, medical tourism and educational exchanges.
According to the published schedule, flight DD959 will depart Hyderabad at 12:45 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Bangkok at 5:55 a.m. local time.
The return service, DD958, will leave Bangkok at 9:45 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, landing in Hyderabad at 11:45 p.m.
The new service adds another direct option for Indian travelers heading to Thailand, one of the country’s most popular overseas leisure destinations.
Founded in 2004, Nok Air is one of Thailand’s best-known low-cost carriers. Headquartered in Bangkok, the airline operates primarily from Don Mueang International Airport, serving an extensive domestic network alongside selected international destinations.
The airline is widely recognized for its bright yellow aircraft featuring a distinctive bird-beak nose design. The word “Nok” means “bird” in Thai, a branding element that has become synonymous with the carrier.
Nok Air mainly operates Boeing 737-800 aircraft on its medium-haul routes and has built its reputation around affordable fares while offering optional ancillary services, including seat selection, additional baggage and onboard purchases.
India has emerged as an increasingly important outbound tourism market for Thailand in recent years, prompting several Thai carriers to expand capacity and launch new routes. Industry observers say the Hyderabad-Bangkok service is expected to strengthen tourism and commercial ties between the two countries while providing greater travel convenience for passengers from southern India.
The launch also reflects Nok Air’s strategy to increase its presence in India’s fast-growing international aviation market, where demand for direct connectivity to Southeast Asia continues to rise. The airline is expected to compete with other carriers operating on India–Thailand routes by offering budget-friendly travel options for both leisure and business passengers.
