This is where you will find “Castle of Beino (Kolodyne)”. A mysterious place inside the deep forest. A place to cut the stain in the mind. There will be boundless peace. Get endless oxygen.
Where the “Castle of Baino” is located
A beautiful hill state in northeastern India. This state is surrounded by beautiful lakes, rivers and mountains. The “Castle of Baino” is located in the southern part of Saihar district in the southern part of Mizoram. It is, in fact, the deepest ravine in North-East India. It is known for its geological wonders, inlaid with outstanding works of nature. And Kolodyne or Kaladan is a primitive river. Originating from the forests of Myanmar, it has entered Mizoram through the Sittwe region. Beino Fortress is a magnificent structure of sandstone and polystone, 10 meters high on both sides of the river.
The place is known to be mysterious
This castle or place is known to be mysterious. The place is very beautiful for tourists. The locals believe it is a cursed castle. There are mysterious folk tales around it. It is said that the river queen of the spirits lives here. So you have to come to such a mysterious place. You will reveal its undiscovered beauty by seeing it with your own eyes. This river is known as Chimpuitui in Mizo dialect. The river is known as the most spectacular teraforming zone, unknown to many. Beino Castle stands majestically, offering a wonderful land to the people of Northeast India.
The Kolodyne River is an important source of fresh water for the locals and an essential source of livelihood for the local fishermen. This place has not yet been explored due to its location deep inside the Mizoram forest, so it still remains a virgin place. Researchers or people interested in sightseeing can plan a trip to Beino Castle.
The boat journey starts from the village of Lomasu to Safao, from where the fortress of Beino can be seen. It is easy to enter Safao via Lungdar of Saiha district or Tuidang next to Lai district.
How is this place?
Each part of this geological marble is a separate quarter of the fort. The structures are much like the soldiers standing at the main entrance. Also the structure looks like the kitchen and the huge hall of the queen. The river water is crystalline, creating a beautiful reflection of the structure and making it an interesting sight. The area is home to some beautiful birds and animals, making it a perfect place to see wildlife.
How to get there: The Castle of Beino is also known as Bauinu Castle – a 30-minute boat ride from the village of Lodao. The village of Lodao is located about 100 km from Siaha town in Siaha district. Helicopter services are operated twice a week from Aizawl to Siaha and Longlai by Pawan Hans which takes about 45/35 minutes respectively. It is also accessible from Hruitezawl in Longlai district. Rent a car from Saiha to Lodao which will take about 5 hours due to the beautiful weather road between Kaulchao-Fura-Lodao.
