এসপিটি নিউজ, কলকাতা, ২৬ মে: কলকাতার বিশিষ্ট পর্যটন ব্যবসায়ী তথা এআর-ইএস কোম্পানির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মহাদেব পাঞ্জাবি আজ শহরের এক বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন। তাঁর প্রয়াণে পর্যটন মহলসহ সমাজের বিভিন্ন স্তরে নেমে এসেছে শোকের ছায়া।
দীর্ঘদিন ধরে পর্যটন ব্যবসার সঙ্গে যুক্ত মহাদেব পাঞ্জাবি নিজের কর্মদক্ষতা ও উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে এআর-ইএস কোম্পানিকে এক বিশেষ উচ্চতায় পৌঁছে দিয়েছিলেন। ভ্রমণ ও পর্যটন শিল্পে তাঁর অবদান বহু মানুষের কাছে আজও স্মরণীয় হয়ে থাকবে।
পরিবার সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, আগামীকাল ২৭ মে সকাল ১০টায় পার্ক স্ট্রিটের আবাসন থেকে তাঁর শেষযাত্রা শুরু হবে। এরপর কেওড়াতলা মহাশ্মশানে তাঁর শেষকৃত্য সম্পন্ন করা হবে।
প্রয়াত মহাদেব পাঞ্জাবির পরিবারে রয়েছেন স্ত্রী মায়া পাঞ্জাবি এবং পুত্র অনিল পাঞ্জাবি। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে আত্মীয়-পরিজন, শুভানুধ্যায়ী এবং ব্যবসায়িক মহলে গভীর শোকের আবহ তৈরি হয়েছে।
সমাজের বহু বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তি তাঁর প্রয়াণে শোকপ্রকাশ করেছেন এবং পরিবারের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানিয়েছেন।
Renowned Tourism Entrepreneur Mahadev Punjabi Passes Away in Kolkata
SPT News, Kolkata, 26 May: Kolkata mourned the loss of veteran tourism entrepreneur Mahadev Punjabi, founder of the well-known AR-ES Company, who breathed his last at a private hospital in the city on Tuesday.
Widely respected in Kolkata’s tourism and travel industry, Mahadev Punjabi played a significant role in shaping and expanding the business over the years. Through his dedication and entrepreneurial vision, AR-ES Company earned recognition among travelers and business circles alike.
According to family sources, his final journey will commence from his residence at Park Street on May 27 at 10 AM. The last rites will thereafter be performed at Keoratala Mahashmashan in Kolkata.
He is survived by his wife Maya Punjabi and son Anil Punjabi. His demise has cast a deep shadow of grief among relatives, friends, business associates, and members of the tourism fraternity.
Several prominent personalities and members of the business community have expressed their condolences and paid tribute to the late entrepreneur for his lifelong contribution to the tourism sector.
